Maid to walk was founded in 2025, although I have been cleaning now for closing in on 10 years!

When I started cleaning, it became something that I - cliche - fell into. Now, it’s something that has been more than a “till the next thing” but I found, I always loved animals a little bit more. When you have everyone telling you that you should “do something that involves animals” it was something I took as a compliment but never thought of doing. Then covid hit and many people got a companion! I at the time had 3! After covid, the rise in dog walkers - even having one myself to help me balance the chaos of home, work, kids - meant that I had considered that as an option but it felt like I always had to chose. I didn’t want to! I love the job satisfaction that comes with cleaning but I love all animals.

So I decided enough was enough. I was doing things my way!

And a hybrid model took shape. I started asking friends, family and other business owners for feedback and it was positive. I believed I was onto something and here is where the seed for Maid to walk formed and what has lead me here to this site.

I am now lucky enough that I am no longer just an I/me/myself but instead I am a “we” that my time within the cleaning industry has meant I have been able to create jobs for others and have a small team of cleaners and pet enthusiasts like myself who are ready to meet the needs of those who need us.

So whether that is for the furry feet or the shoe wearing kind! From floors to windows. To everything in between.
